Receptit (“Receptit,” “we,” “us”) operates an AI-powered call and message handling service. At this time, Receptit is operated as an unregistered sole proprietorship. This notice explains how we handle personal information for website visitors, customers, and end callers.

Information We Collect

Account and Business Data

Name, business name, role, email, phone, billing details, service configuration, and communications with us.

Call and Message Data

Caller ID, time, duration, call routing decisions, and content of calls or messages, including transcriptions where enabled by you. You are responsible for obtaining any legally required consent to record or transcribe communications.

Technical and Usage Data

IP address, device and browser information, pages viewed, referral URLs, and product usage metrics. We use cookies or similar technologies for analytics and to operate the service.

How We Use Information

Roles and Responsibilities

For your business account and billing data, Receptit acts as an independent controller. For end-caller data processed on your behalf, Receptit acts as a processor and follows your documented instructions. You are the controller for your end-customer data and remain responsible for notices and consents required by law.

Sharing and Disclosures

We do not sell or “share” personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

  • Service providers: cloud hosting, analytics, communications, and payment processors under contractual confidentiality and security obligations.
  • Integrations you enable: CRMs, calendars, or line-of-business tools that you connect.
  • Legal: to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, or protect rights and safety.
  • Business transfers: if we explore or complete a merger or asset transfer.

Data Retention

  • Call recordings and transcriptions: 90 days by default (configurable by you)
  • Operational logs: 30 days
  • Support tickets and communications: 24 months
  • Account and billing records: duration of use + 7 years
  • Web analytics: up to 14 months

We may keep data longer where required by law or to resolve disputes. When retention ends, we delete or de-identify data.

Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards, including encryption in transit, access controls, and monitoring. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

International Data

Data may be processed in the United States. If you are in the EEA/UK, we rely on contractual safeguards for transfers where required (e.g., EU Standard Contractual Clauses) and limit processing to the stated purposes above.

Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, and to object or restrict certain processing. Submit requests using the contact details below. For end-customer data we process for you, we will redirect requests to you as the controller.

California residents: we do not sell or share personal information. You may request access, deletion, and correction. EU/UK residents: we process account data based on contract and legitimate interests, and marketing based on consent where required. You may lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority.
